(Mom )
Happy Mothers day to alll the other moms out there.
Being a mom is a constant joy to me. The love I have for my two rugrats is beyond anything I ever thought I would have in my life. If you are a parent remember to take the time to tell your kids you love them. I know its sappy but some things are worth saying often.

Abnormal Habits

I have been Tagged!
The Rules: The first player of this game starts with the topic "five weird habits" and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don't forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says "You have been tagged" (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours.
I don’t really have werid habits as much as abnormal ones… or is that the same thing? Thanks, Neal and Maggie, for making us think of all these ways we are abnormal in our daily lives.

1. I cannot sleep until I have finished reading. Plots from books get in my head and I dream of the storyline unless I have finished the book.

2. I have a love of interior design. When I get bored I mentally redecorate the rooms of other people’s houses.

3. I often finger spell words when I am trying to remember something. For example if I need to get toothpaste from the store I will spell it over and over in a effort to remember it.

4. I will sometimes say the same thing that someone else has said without my hearing it. Beau claims I am psychic.

5. I can only sleep if my Left ear is in the pillow. This is because I can only sleep in complete silence and I can only hear out of my left ear.

I only have a few people that I can Tag. So Anne and Brenda if you dare to bare your five weird habits… GO!

Moderation

January is the Diet Month. Millions of people promise to lose weight after holidays each year. Each year most of those people fail. Now the reason I am talking about this is that over the last five years I have been one of those people. This year I have decided to change the way I think about losing weight. Instead of dieting for a few months (or weeks) and getting on a scale to check my weight, I am going to focus on being healthy for the full year.
We are told to do so many things in our daily lives to make us live longer and be more resistant to illness. From hand washing to exercise there are a lot of things we should be doing in our daily lives. I’ve decided that I will be more likely to lose weight and keep it off if I started to just be more healthy in all things For me this means drinking more water, remembering to take my vitamins, and being more physical throughout the day,
I have two big issues I need to work on for myself. The first is that I am an unrepentant Couch potato. I read and watch television more than I probably should. The second is that I am a caffeine junkie. If I don’t get my daily soda and coffee I become really, really grumpy.
I am a big believe in doing all things in moderation. There is no reason you can’t have a piece of cake if you don’t eat the whole cake! Drinking in moderation is actually good for you. Coffee has been proven to make you smarter if don’t over indulge. Indulging in your favorite fatty foods once a month is a great way to keep yourself from craving them.
Since I have belived in this for a very long time I have decided to branch out this system to some other things I am not fond of. Exercise is one of my least favorite things. I hate to run. I hate to play sports. So this year I have decided that Exercise in moderation is necessary Of course Psycho claims that sex is the one thing you should never do in moderation, his reasoning is that its SO good for you: you should do it all the time. (He may just kill me yet)
So be like me and kick the diet habit. There is no lifetime guarantee on diets and if you are anything like me you can't stand to stay on one for long. You are the only person who can help yourself live a long and healthy life.
